Tribute services are offered by the Nurses Honor Guard of Mid-Missouri to honor and pay tribute to our fellow nurses who have passed away. The tribute locations are of your choosing, whether it be at a funeral home, church, graveside, or private setting.

Nurse Tribute Ceremonies

The Nurses Honor Guard performs a Nightingale ceremony that is a deeply symbolic and respectful tribute to a nurse who has passed away. The ceremony is brief yet poignant, emphasizing the nurse's lifelong commitment to the profession. The white uniform, cap, and cape of the Honor Guard, along with the ritual elements like the Nightingale Tribute, white rose, and the ringing of the triangle, create a dignified atmosphere of remembrance. The presentation of the extinguished Nightingale lamp and personal condolences to the family further reinforce the nurse’s enduring legacy and the respect for their service in healthcare.

Our Nightingale Tributes provide a meaningful and respectful farewell to our fellow nurses, ensuring they are honored with the dignity they deserve.
